The Privacy Policy sets out how Southern Prairie Family Fitness Center uses and protects any information that you give Southern Prairie Family Fitness Center when you use this website. Southern Prairie Family Fitness Center is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement. Southern Prairie Family Fitness Center may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes.. What We Collect

- Other information relevant to customer surveys and / or offers.

However once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Refunds on Membership Dues
As a member of Southern Prairie, you do not have to sign a membership contract to become a member, and can cancel/end your membership at any time. However, we require a 30 day notice on all cancellations, in person and all membership cards surrendered. Terminations are not accepted over the phone. If you are terminating due to financial reasons please ask to speak with one of our team members about the possibility of financial assistance through our scholarship program. Southern Prairie is unable to issue refunds or credits for non-usage of the facility. Memberships are non-transferrable. For Annual Pay memberships, refunds will only occur when 1) a note from the Doctor explains why you can not use your membership or 2) verification of residency 50+ miles outside of Creston.
Payment for Programs
Most classes are included with your membership, however some classes or programs have additional fees that require payment at the time of registration. Cash, Check, Credit card or Debit card (Visa, MC, Disc, AMEX are all accepted).
Membership Cards
Upon joining SPFFC, members are required to have their photograph taken for identification purposes to be used internally, and will receive a membership scan card. You must present your membership card each time you enter the building for access to the facility. Lost membership cards should be reported to the front desk. Replacement cards can be issued at no cost to you. Membership cards are to be used by the assigned member only. Membership privileges are at risk for allowing other to use your card. You may be asked to present photo ID at any time to verify your membership.
Camera Use
Use of cameras and cell phones are never allowed in the bathrooms or locker room areas.
Accident, Injury and Incident
We do our best to keep you safe, but if an accident, injury or unusual incident does occur, please report it to the front desk or a director on duty immediately. SPFFC recommends all members and participants consult a physician prior to starting an exercise program. SPFFC assumes NO responsibility for injuries incurred while participating in SPFFC activities; it is expected the all members who use Southern Prairie carry their own medical insurance.
Military Discount
SPFFC honors all Military Service Men and Women, retired and active duty.
20% discount is honored with written documentation, on monthly/annual membership dues. Additional programming, extended access, etc. not eligible.
What we do with the information we gather
We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:
Internal Record keeping

- We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided.
- From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for marketing research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone, fax or mail.
- We may use the information to customize the website according to your interests.
- We may provide your information to our third party partners for marketing or promotional purposes.
- We will never sell your information.
Cancellation of Membership
As a member of Southern Prairie, you do not have to sign a membership contract to become a member and can cancel/end your membership at any time by completing a termination form and surrendering all membership cards.
Request for Membership Hold
We offer a one-time 30 day HOLD to our members to help through medical needs, financial needs, or other unforeseen circumstances which would otherwise make them unable to use their membership. We ask for a 30 day notice to stop the monthly draft. Memberships will automatically resume after the hold ends.
Membership Payment Options
Bank Draft: monthly dues are automatically withdrawn from your checking or savings account each month. Outstanding balances must be reconciled with the facility prior to rejoining in the future. 15 days written notice prior to your next draft date is required to credit card changes.
Credit Card Drafts: monthly dues are automatically withdrawn from your credit or debit card each month. Out standing balances must be reconciled with the facility prior to rejoining in the future. 15 days written notice prior to the next draft date is required for changes with the credit card.
Annual Payments: Payments are equal to the total of 12 monthly payments, less a slight discount.
*all monthly drafts, including checking, savings, credit or debit cards will incur an additional $1.50 processing fee.
Child Safety
Children, age 12 and above can be at SPFFC without a parent/adult supervision.
Video Surveillance
SPFFC utilizes video technology to protect all persons. cameras are installed in open/public areas only, and not in private areas such as locker rooms, rest rooms, etc.
Conduct
SPFFC is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all members and guests. To promote safety and comfort for all, individuals are asked to act appropriately at all times when in our facility or participating in our programs.
NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY: SPFFC, in keeping with its mission to help all people realize their potential, encourages and supports the participation of all programs regardless of race, gender, color, nationality, religion, ethnicity, disability or language. Whether an individual is non-disabled or has special needs, consideration is given to the individual needs of everyone and the ability of the program to meet those needs.
We expect that persons using the SPFFC to act maturely, to behave responsibly, and to respect the rights and dignity of others. Our code of conduct outlines prohibited actions considered inappropriate in our facility and its programs:
- Using or possessing alcohol or illegal chemicals on the property or at ymca programs.
- Smoking / vaping / e-cigarettes on the property or in programs- we are a smoke-free environment.
- Carrying or concealing a weapon or any device used as a weapon.
- Harassment or intimidation by words, gestures, body language or any time of menacing behavior.
- Physical contact with another person in an angry, aggressive, or threatening way.
- Verbally Abusive behavior including vulgar language, swearing, name-calling or shouting.
- Sexually explicit conversation or behavior, sexual contact with another person.
- Theft or behavior that results in destruction or loss of property.
- Loitering within or on the grounds of SPFFC.
- Use of social networking web sites in a manner that is contrary to SPFFC’S mission, and is detrimental to the community or in violation of the law.
In addition- SPFFC reserved the right to deny access or membership to any person who has been accused of or convicted of any crime involving sexual abuse, in or has been a registered sex offender, has ever been convicted of any offense relation to the use, sale, possession or transportation of narcotics or dangerous/habit forming drugs, or is presently or habitually under the influence of dangerous drugs/chemicals or beverages.
Members and Guests are encouraged to take responsibility for their personal comfort by asking any person whose behavior threatens their comfort to refrain from such behavior. Anyone who feels uncomfortable confronting a person should report the behavior to a staff member.
Suspension or termination of membership privileges may result from a determination by the CEO if in his/her discretion that a violation of the Code of Conduct has occurred. Suspension or Termination of membership privileges may result in temporary suspension until all investigations are completed, and a final decision is made.
Security
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. We work to protect the security of your information we collect online. We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Access Systems, Inc Security systems which protects information you input. We also endeavor to limit access to personal information to only employees, agents and representatives that need to know.
Refunds on Programs
Class Cancellation: if a fee-based class or program is cancelled by SPFFC, a full refund or credit to the member’s account will be offered. If the participant withdraws from the class for reasons other than medical, refunds will be given on a case by case basis.
Medical Cancellation: participant cancellations due to medical reasons, a refund or credit for the unused portion of the program will be offered.
Bad Weather Policy: if classes or programs are cancelled due to bad weather, will be made up as the schedule allows. This does not include child care or day camp programs.
Membership Dues Agreement
I understand that all changes affecting my monthly draft (i.e. billing information, holds, downgrades, terminations) require a 30 day notice before your next draft date to ensure all the parties involved can act accordingly. The draft is a continuous membership plan. I understand that this membership will remain in effect until properly terminated with Southern Prairie. The SPFFC Board of Directors may, at their discretion, adjust the monthly membership rates applicable to my category of membership. I understand that I will receive at least a 30 day notice of the change before a debit occurs at the new rate.
Returned Payments
For any item returned to SPFFC by a financial institution, a $30 NSF / returned payment fee will be applied to your account.
Child Protection
Southern Prairie conducts regular sex offender screenings on all members, participants and guests. If a sex offender match occurs, the Southern Prairie Family Fitness Center reserves the right to cancel a membership, end program participation, and remove visitor access.
Guest Policy
Members are encouraged to bring guests. Guest passes are only available for members, 12 and older and are limited to 5 per individual membership, or 10 per family membership. All Guests must present valid ID upon entry. A participant waiver must be signed before using the facility or program of SPFFC. All guests must follow the policies and procedures of SPFFC, and any guest in violation of policies will be asked to leave without refund.
Lost or Stolen Items
Please safeguard your personal belongings while at SPFFC. SPFFC is NOT responsible for any lost or stolen item. Lockers are available for use while at the facility, locks can be checked out at the front desk.
